A very well conditioned Thai boxer is a very effective fighter both for self defense and in the ring. It’s a very respectful sport because of this. It first teaches discipline along with flexibility, conditioning, coordination, stamina and self confidence.
Thai boxing classes make you work while out of breath which is excellent for the fat burning process so it’s very effective for weight loss. Thai boxing is very effective in Mixed Martial Arts also because of the all round fighting style and the clinch work it involves.
